With School starting up again, Pioneer Rowing is looking for new athletes interested in being part of the greatest team sport on the planet.  Below is the information on our start up events and general information on the sport and the team for all interested students.  

Season Opening Meeting: Monday August 18th 4:30pm-6:30pm at the High School In the Annex.  This meeting is for both new and returning athletes.  While parents are welcome to attend, the meeting is mostly for information and questions for the students (There will be a parents info meeting during the second week of school).  Students should also bring workout clothing as there will be some light physical activity to end the meeting.  Varsity athletes will be there early to help direct new students to the proper location in the school. 

First Day of Practice: Tuesday August 19th 4:15pm - 6:30pm at the boathouse in Bandemer Park. Our boathouse in located at  1325 Lake Shore Dr. Ann Arbor, MI 48106.  Athletes should come to practice dressed in workout gear with running shoes and a full water bottle (there is no running water in the park).

• Drop Off / Pick up note: Please pull all the way to the back of the part to drop off your student before turning around.  This keeps traffic flowing and does not disrupt the other groups using the park.  Please be aware that the exit to the park is a right turn only back onto main street (There is a Michigan Left turn nearby).
• Special Note:We realize that some families may still be on vacation at this time.  While we would like all athletes to start with us as soon as possible we do still accept new athletes through the first two weeks of practice.  Please contact Coach Menoch directly if you think your joining them may be delayed
• Standard Practice times after this date are Monday through Friday 4:15pm-6:30pm at the boathouse.  We only cancel / relocate practice if there is high winds or lightning in the area.  We will make an announcement if this is the case. 

Registration for Fall Rowing:  All Athletes must be fully registered with the athletic department and the team before they can start on the water training.  The information on how to register can be found here: How to Register for Crew
