Our Female Athlete of the Month for September is Natasza Dudek. Natasza is a freshman on the Women’s Cross Country team. She placed first in four out of six meets in September. She crushed the competition at the Otsego Bulldog Invitation with a PR of 17:24.15 in the 5000 meters. Natasza is ranked first among freshmen in Pioneer history, and fourth all time for the 5000m only behind her sister Zofia Dudek, Rachel Forsyth and Anne Forsyth. “I am very happy that I joined the Pioneer Women’s Cross Country team and that I have the opportunity to run with them. I have always looked up to them, starting with when my older sisters ran on the team, that inspired me to do the same,” says Natasza. “I love the coaches of the Pioneer women’s xc team, and how much work they put in for our team’s success. My teammates are also a very big part of my life, they always cheer me on, and never fail to put a smile on my face.” Outside of XC, Natasza likes to pass time by baking with her friends and family.
