Ted Heusel - Legacy 2000

Ted Heusel is a name that is familiar to many in Ann Arbor.  As a veteran local talk radio host, Ted has educated, entrained and humored his listeners for 50 years. Ted's history in Ann Arbor begins on Dewey Street near Burns Park where he grew up.  His education includes a BA in English and History from Eastern Michigan University and an MA in Theater from the University of Michigan. In 1968, for six turbulent years, Ted sat on the Ann Arbor school board.  It is here that he made his biggest impact on Pioneer High School.  Among his many accomplishments as a school board member, Ted fought hard for the two local high schools to play against each other in football.  The healthy rivalry between Pioneer and Huron was born.  Each year the Heusel Bowl trophy is awarded to the winning team after the football game.
