Ernie Delco - Athletic Alumni 2005
Ernie played football for two years and ran track for three. He was all state first team both years of his football career. And was National All-American in 1953 for football.
After graduating from high school, Ernie went to Central State College in Ohio for one year. He enlisted in the Marines for four years, playing football and running track all four years. He was chosen All-Service one of those years. Ernie attended Bowling Green State University for one year. He then played for the Cleveland Bulldogs before being called up by the Cleveland Browns. He played one game, but had to retired due to knee injuries.
