Tom Huntzicker - Athletic Alumni 2009

Tom Huntzicker graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1964 and participated in the hockey program and was on the golf team from 1961 to 1964.  He was Art Armstrong’s first captain in the 1963-64 season.  Tom helped the team become International League Champions that year.  He was also selected for the All-League First Team and was the League’s Leading scorer.  Tom graduated from Colgate University Summa Cum Laude in 1968 and earned Varsity Letters in Hockey from 1965 through 1968.  After a stint in the Army, Tom returned to Ann Arbor to earn his Master’s degree from the University of Michigan, marry his college sweetheart (Kay), and continue his legacy by having four children who have also contributed to the success of Pioneer Athletics.  Tom also volunteered as a youth hockey coach for several years and was an assistant Pioneer High School hockey coach as well.
