George Huntzicker - Athletic Alumni 2009

George Huntzicker graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1966.   As a gifted gymnast he helped lead the team to a State Championship in 1965 by placing first in trampoline, floor exercise and vault, In 1966, Sports Illustrated reported that George was the only person in Michigan High School Gymnastics history to place first in 5 out of 7 events.  He attended the University of Michigan, was a Big Ten Champion for 3 consecutive years, was voted College All-American for  4 years, and graduated in 1971.  Since then, he has entertained thousands by performing in many half-time shows, state and county fairs, television shows, sporting events, Disney World, and many school assembly programs highlighting the theme “Say No To Drugs”.  As a motivational speaker, business owner and entertainer, George’s philosophy is “every child is a champion”.  His two greatest champions are his children, Sara and Jesse.
