John Morrow - Athletic Alumni 2010
John Morrow graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1951. He played football for two years and basketball for three years. The football team achieved undefeated seasons in both 1949 and 1950, and John was Captain of the basketball team. After high school, John played football at the University of Michigan for four years. He then went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams from 1956 to 1959 and was a member of the All-Rookie Team in 1956. John played for the Cleveland Browns from 1960 to 1966 and was a member of the Browns’ World Championship team in 1964. He was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl two times. John says that his football coach, Hank Fonde, “was a wonderful coach, and the basics learned served me well in my professional career.”
