Paul Test - Legacy 2011

Paul Test coached football at Pioneer High School for twenty years.  He was Associate Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator in the 1980’s and early 1990’s when Pioneer won two State Football Championships.  Paul later became Head Football Coach from 1991 to 1994.  He returned to Pioneer to coach freshman football from 2007 to 2009.  Paul was named 1991 Class AA Regional Coach of the Year.  He coached three undefeated Pioneer freshman teams to State Football Championships in 2007, 2008, and 2009.  During Paul’s Pioneer football coaching career, the teams also won numerous SEC Championships.  Paul recalls coaching “the stingy defenses of the ‘80’s and ‘90s” as well as “the first undefeated freshman football teams, 2007-2009.”  He led a Bible study/prayer meeting on Saturdays for many years during his coaching tenure and also served on the MHSAA Football Rules Committee.  Paul says he “developed many wonderful friendships and relationships” through his association with Pioneer Athletics.
