Hall of Fame Bio.

Ken Dyer - Athletic Alumni 2005

Born March 16, 1946 in Ann Arbor, Michigan

He attended Eberwhite Elementary.  While at Slauson Jr. High he played basketball and football.  He attended Ann Arbor High School and participated in basketball, track and football.  In football he was on the 1962 state championship team, was UPI Dream Team player and AP First Team All-State.  He set the state high jump record in his senior year.  He graduated in 1964.

 

He attended Arizona State University on a football scholarship.  He participated in track.  While attending school at ASU, he decided to make Arizona his home.

 

In 1968, Ken was drafted by the San Diego Chargers and player for them for two years.  In 1970, Ken played for the Cincinnati Bengal’s.  In October of 1971 his career ended due to an injury during a game against Green Bay Packers.

 

Since leaving the professional football ranks, Ken has sold insurance and continues to work in the industrial chemical field.  Ken currently owns and operates a dry cleaning plant and drop store.  He coach High School and Pop Warner football for nearly 20 years.

 

He is the father of three sons and a stepdaughter and the proud grandfather of three girls and three boys.
