Bob Elliott - Athletic Alumni 2003

Bob Elliott is the finest basketball player to ever come out of the Ann Arbor Area.  A three year starter at Pioneer, Bob was a two time All State and team captain.   Reluctant to speak of his own personal accomplishments, he remembers 44 points as his high individual game total.

After graduating from AA Pioneer in 1973, Elliott received a basketball scholarship to the University of Arizona.  At Arizona, Bob was a three time academic and athletic all-American, leading his team to one Western Athletic Conference championship and two NCAA tournament appearances.  Bob received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and later, and MBA from the University of Arizona.

His college accomplishments led to an NBA career, which included a half season with the Philadelphia 76ers, who originally drafted him, a half year playing in Europe and three season with the New Jersey Nets.  Reconstruction knee surgery and a desire to pursue business interests led Bob to retire from professional basketball.

Currently bob is President and CEO of The Elliott Accounting Group, a CPA firs in Tuscon, Arizona.  Consistent with his knowledge and love of athletics, he appear regularly as a television analyst and pre game show host for Fox Sports, Arizona.  A much sought after motivational speaker, Elliott especially enjoys working with students in various settings and in mentoring minority candidates in the University of Arizona MBA program.

Bob's community involvement includes membership on about every board of directors in the Tuscon area, where he has more awards than anyone can count.  A dedicated family man, Elliott was named Tuscon Father of the Year in 1997.
