Robert Westfall - Athletic Alumni
Bob was an Ann Arbor boy, who dreamed of playing football for the University of
Michigan. While at Ann Arbor High is was the starting fullback and set numerous
school records.
Upon graduation he played for the University of Michigan football program.
In his sophomore year he started at full back. In 1940 he was ranked fourth in
the country in total yards gained, behind his own teammate Tom Harmon. The
other two runners ahead of Bob in total yards played two more games than he did
that year. In 1941 Bob was named as an
All-American for U of M.
