Jenny Pieper O'Farrill Diaz - Athletic Alumna

Jenny Pieper O’Farrill Diaz graduated from Pioneer in 1996 after earning seven varsity letters in field hockey and softball.

At Pioneer, Jenni earned four varsity letters in softball. She was named to the All-District softball team four times, All-Region team three times, All-SCC team four times, and All-State team once. She still holds the record for most career victories with 103. She had 13 no-hitters, averaged 12 strikeouts per game in 1996, had the most career shutouts with 22, and recorded the lowest ERA of 0.38. She was also named to the Ann Arbor News All-Tournament team four years, where the team won the Tournament in 1993, 1994, & 1995.  In 1994, Pioneer High School lost the State Championship in 10 innings.  In this game, Jenni pitched all 10 innings, had 10 Ks, gave up 4 hits and went 3 for 5 batting.  Unfortunately, the team left 14 runners stranded, not able to get runners to score. Between the years 1993-1996, Pioneer softball won their District, won their Regional and made it to the final 8 in state playoffs.
