The Pioneer girls advance to 2-0 with an outstanding performance over Haslett on Dec 8th at Okemos High School. The Haslett zone defense slowed Pioneer down and Pioneer went into the half with a 1 point deficit trailing Haslett 18-19. The second half was a different story with Pioneer scoring 19 in the 3rd quarter and 21 in the 4th. Pioneer was led by senior Asaria Turman with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Asaria was aided by freshmen Mya Hicks with 11, Davi Matthews with 10 points 6 rebounds and 2 huge blocks, and sophomore Felicia Stewart with 9 points. The Pioneers play DeWitt next on Dec 11th at home.
