Over the weekend at the Holland Aquatic Center, the Pioneer Women’s Swim & Dive team won the State Runner Up trophy. The Pioneers put together an amazing two (2) days of performances in the swimming pool and on the diving boards. After day 1, the Pioneers were projected to be 13 points behind Farmington Hills Mercy. Farmington Hills Mercy was in pursuit of their 3rd State Title in a row. On Saturday, the Pioneers made a valiant challenge to Mercy and earned the state runner up award by .5 points.
Pioneer relays, winning a state championship and earning All-State awards, were the 200 free (Lily Cramer, Autumn Bullinger, Amelia Weyhing, Lucy Mehraban) and 400 free (Lucy Mehraban, Vivian VanRenterghem, Holly Pringle, Lily Cramer).
The medley relay (Quoia Sam, Amelia Weyhing, Holly Pringle, Autumn Bullinger) was 2nd place and earned All-State honors.
Individual All State honors were achieved by Vivian VanRenterghem (2nd – 200 free), Lily Cramer (3rd – 200 IM & tied for 6th – 100 breast), Lucy Mehraban (2nd – 50 free & 2nd – 100 free), Lindsay Orringer-Hau (4th – 500 free), Quoia Sam (2nd – 100 back), Holly Pringle (5th – 100 back), and Edwina Jalet (5th – 100 breast).
The following Pioneers placed & scored valuable points individually: Holly Pringle (9th – 200 IM), Edwina Jalet (15th – 200 IM), Amelia Weyhing (15th – 50 free & 10th – 100 breast), Lindsay Orringer-Hau (9th – 100 fly), Vivian VanRenterghem (tied for 9th – 100 free), and Autumn Bullinger (10th – 100 back).
