THE PIONEER GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TEAM PLACED 3rd AT THE 2018 SPLITTER VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
In pool play, the Pioneer squad defeated Ann Arbor Prep 25-10, 25-7; lost to Stevenson 9-25, 19-25, defeated Blissfield 25-18,25-23. Then in bracket play, defeated Ann Arbor Huron 25-19, 25-21 and lost in semi-finals to Stevenson 11-25, 7-25, placing 3rd.
Stunning performance by Pioneer setter, Lanie De-Sano Smith, awarded with the All-Star medal.
Highlights for middle, Nicole Hughes with 22 attacks and 18 kills, along with 12 blocks and 10 aces!!!!
