Pioneer hosted Birmingham Seaholm for their 2024 season opener. It was a slow start in the first minute, Pioneer was down by two, but quickly turned it around and won the game 17-7. Lead scorers were senior Sawyer Thompson, with 5, followed by sophomore Misi Flautner, with 3. Sophomore Elijah Almeida had 8 steals!
The JV team played an exciting first game of the season. They beat Seaholm 16-4. Freshman Evan Pokryfke had 4 goals, followed by freshman Will Wood, with 3.
The next match-up is against AA Huron on September 10 at AA Pioneer’s Hill Pool. Varsity at 6:15 and JV at 7:15. On Thursday, September 12, the Pioneer’s will host St. Francis de Sales from Ohio. Varsity at 6:15 and JV at 7:15.
