On Thursday, 9/12, Pioneer hosted St. Francis de Sales of Toledo. Varsity’s game was a nail biter. Pioneer pulled out a win, 9-7. Lead scorers were Sawyer Thompson with five and Mark Flautner with four. Sophomore Elijah Almeida had 6 steals during the game. Matthew Christiansen was everywhere in goal with a total of 13 saves!
The JV game followed with a final score of 18-three. High scorers included freshman Brody Howe, Will Wood and Isak Woods, each with a hat trick!
The boys will travel to Bowling Green on Saturday and Sunday for the Border Battle tournament. Part of the team will be at the Saline Hornet Tournament Friday and Saturday.
