Biography:
Coach Lon grew up in Union Lake, MI and attended Walled Lake Central high school as a National Honor Society student and shortshop on the varsity baseball team. He graduated from the University of Michigan with bachelor and master degrees in Statistics, and an MBA from Cleary. He worked for R.L. Polk for 2 years, then for Ann Arbor’s Parke-Davis pharmaceutical research (which became Pfizer) for almost 25 years as a nonclinical statistician. In 2012 Lon founded Arbor Analytics, a statistical consulting company.
Lon met Natalie playing co-rec softball at Michigan, and they have been married since 1984. They have 2 children, Clarice (PWICE’s first goalie, two-time first team All State) and Trevor (3 sport athlete at Pioneer). The kids are both married, and Clarice has a 2 year old daughter. Lon started playing organized hockey the first year Lakeland Arena in Waterford opened, and ended his career there as the leading scorer for the Junior C state champions in 1980. Since then Lon ran the X-Men/Wolverine Brewing adult hockey team at Vets Arena for almost 30 years, and plays year round in the Over 40 and 50 leagues in Chelsea. Along with Steve and Jane Chronis, Lon and Nat started PWICE in 2004, and Lon has coached every season since.

Lynne Harrison-Ley.

Biography:
Lynne grew up in Dearborn, MI and attended Western Michigan University. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and remained in Kalamazoo for nearly 20 years before moving to Saline in 2015. After college, Lynne worked as a social worker for the State of MI, within the child welfare system. She maintained that position for nearly 15 years, leaving to focus on her family. Lynne is married to Steve, they have two children; Nate, age 12, and Alexandra, age 9.
Lynne began playing hockey at age 5, a mix of boys’ house and travel until Bantam, when she joined the Michigan Capitals Girls’ Hockey Team, later becoming Little Caesar’s. She went on to play college club for the WMU Mustangs Women’s Hockey. After college, Lynne served as assistant coach for the Mustangs and trained youngsters at Puckmasters of Kalamazoo. She continued playing in the Kalamazoo men’s league until she had her first child, whom she later coached in mini-mites and mites.

Biography:
Kathryn Wissman grew up in Ann Arbor and attended Pioneer High School where she played Field Hockey and Ice Hockey. She graduated from Michigan State University in May of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in public policy and environmental policy. She now works as a recreation supervisor and a part-time skating instructor at the City of Ann Arbor Department of Parks and Recreation.
Kathryn learned to skate at three years old on outdoor rinks in Minnesota before moving to Ann Arbor. At age twelve, she joined an AAAHA house team at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube and played for two seasons before joining PWICE in high school. In college, she played intramural hockey and in various adult recreational leagues in the Ann Arbor area. Kathryn comes from a hockey family and loves to help introduce new players to the wonderful sport.
