Pioneer defeats Skyline in Swim & Dive Dual

Last Thursday at Hill Pool, Ann Arbor Pioneer defeated Ann Arbor Skyline 109.5-76.5 in a Women's Swim and Dive dual meet. Pioneer relay winning teams included the 200 medley (Quoia Sam, Edwina Jalet, Abby Mehraban, Amelia Weyhing) and the 200 Free (Quoia Sam, Amelia Weyhing, Jenni Krzeczkowski, Katie Capelli).
The 200 free relay (Quoia Sam, Amelia Weyhing, Jenni Krzeczkowski, Katie Capelli) also earned a state qualification cut. Individual state qualification times were achieved by Katie Capelli (200 free & 500 free), Edwina Jalet (200 IM & 100 breast), Amelia Weyhing (100 free), Lindsay Orringer-Hau (500 free), Quoia Sam (100 Back), and Lily Cramer (100 breast).
MISCA qualification times were attained by Lindsay Orringer-Hau (200 free, 500 free, & 100 free), Vivian VanRenterghem (200 free & 100 free), Autumn Bullinger (200 free), Abby Mehraban (200 IM & 500 free), Lily Cramer (200 IM, 50 free, & 100 breast), Amelia Weyhing (50 free & 100 free), Quoia Sam (50 free & 100 back), Holly Pringle (100 fly & 100 back), Jeannie Liu (100 fly), Edwina Jalet (200 IM & 100 breast), Katie Capelli (500 free & 100 free), and Jenni Krzeczkowski (100 breast).
Pioneer takes 4th at Huron Relays

On Thursday, Ann Arbor Huron High School hosted the 17th Annual Huron Relays. The competition featured seven (7) of the top twenty (20) teams from last season. In a lively atmosphere that featured some very competitive races, the Pioneer Women's Swimming and Diving team placed 4th.
Pioneer won the 200 Butterfly Relay with the team of Lindsay Orringer-Hau, Jeannie Liu, Abby Mehraban, and Lily Cramer.
MISCA qualification cuts were achieved by the 200 Free Relay (Vivian VanRenterghem, Quoia Sam, Katie Capelli, Amelia Weyhing) and the 400 Free Relay (Quoia Sam, Autumn Bullinger, Vivian VanRenterghem, Katie Capelli). Individual MISCA cuts were accomplished by Quoia Sam (100 Free) and Katie Capelli (200 Free).
Pioneer Swim & Dive Place 3rd at Marlin Relays

Last Saturday, the Women's Swimming and Diving team competed at the Marlin Relays hosted by Farmington Hills Mercy High School. The competition featured two (2) defending state championship teams and three (3) of the top seventeen (17) teams from last season. The Pioneers performed well at the season opening event and took 3rd place.
Pioneer relay event winners included the 200 Backstroke (Holly Pringle, Lindsay Orringer-Hau, Quoia Sam, Grace Stephan), 850 Crescendo (Jenni Krzeczkowski, Amelia Weyhing, Vivian VanRenterghem, Katie Capelli), 200 Medley (Quoia Sam, Lily Cramer, Lindsay Orringer-Hau, Katie Capelli), and 200 Breaststroke (Edwina Jalet, Lily Cramer, Amelia Weyhing, Jenni Krzeczkowski).
State meet qualification was achieved by the 200 Medley Relay of Quoia Sam, Lily Cramer, Lindsay Orringer-Hau, and Katie Capelli. Individual MISCA qualification cuts were accomplished by Jenni Krzeczkowski (50 Free) and Autumn Bullinger (100 Free).
